hello,
I am a huge fan of hugin, and I use autopano to automatically detect similar points in pictures.
A new version of autopan-sift has been proposed today, going from 2.4.x to 2.5.0 and getting rid of mono, it has been rewritten in C.
However I don't have anymore the GUI autopanog which was very convenient.
Any news about that? It seems the GUI still exists in the official source, but there is no flag to get it.

You'll have the GUI in hugin if you emerge it with USE flag "sift".

maybe I misunderstand your post.
I need autopanog, which was provided by autopano ebuild and is a gui for autopano.
I have sift enabled in hugin, it doesn't help.

can you clarify please ?

I'm always using hugin to detect similar points. It depends on autopano and has it's own gui for it, if you compile hugin with the sift USE-flag.
I guess that is what cjubon tried to tell you.

Hi all,

You don't need autopanog anymore.
You use autopano-sift gui inside Hugin (if Hugin compiled with sift use flag).
In preferences, you click on autopano thumbnail.
you check autopano-sift-c and --maxmatches %p %o %i parameters.
You run the assistant and load your images.
In the images thumbnail, select one image as reference, then click on "creer des points de controle" (10 points by default).
You'll have to wait a little and then follow the procedure -> optimisation -> Exposition -> Assemblage with nona and enblend.

I Hope it helped.

Jacques

thanks a lot ptitJack.
it is even easier now.
My issue was that the autopano parameters were wrong (coming from hugin 0.6 I guess)
