I installed BRL-CAD using the 7.12.2 ebuild along with the patch found here https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77197

I manually installed the ebuild in my portage overlay, I did not use the science overlay.

Everything went fine but when I try and run $ mged I get command not found. So I do
Code:

$ /usr/brlcad/bin/mged

and get
Code:
Itcl_Init ERROR:
already installed: [incr Tcl]
Can't find a usable itk.tcl in the following directories:
    /usr/brlcad/lib/itk3.4 ./../lib/itk3.4 ./../library ./../../library ./../../itk/library
This probably means that Itcl/Itk weren't installed properly.
If you know where the Itk library directory was installed,
you can set the environment variable ITK_LIBRARY to point
to the library directory.

MGED Aborted.

env variables look like this
Code:
PATH=/usr/brlcad/bin
LDPATH=/usr/brlcad/lib64
MANPATH=/usr/brlcad/man
ITK_LIBRARY=/usr/brlcad/lib64/itk3.4
ITCL_LIBRARY=/usr/brlcad/lib64/itcl3.4

I checked and itk.tcl is where its supposed to be. All the files seem to be in the correct place.
I tried changing the paths to the system libs but no dice. The installed version of itk and itcl is 3.3 which is the highest in portage. But 3.4 seems to be installed in the brlcad directory. What to do...
