Recently I've been struggling to find a decent pixelart oriented program, and stumbled upon Grafx2. The program is very similar to the old good Deluxe Paint for Amiga or Brilliance, so I decided to create the ebuild and here it is for anyone willing to test it.

salut!

it is, but there're currently some small problems with config files, and the configurator (gfxcfg) tries to read the files in ~/gfxcfg/ instead of ~/grafx2/, so to change the shortcuts (cool feature indeed) you have to move back and forth the files.
I didn't succeed in building the svn version, but I'm really interested in the future developing of this program.

Ok. Since grafx2 hit the stable 2.0 release, here you can find the ebuild for it:
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259896

thank you for testing it :)

Grafx2 2.1 is OUT!
check it out!

Small changelog:
    GUI improvements, better skinability
Optional grid lines in zoomed view (Alt-Shift+G)
    Brush container
File formats: C64 and Atari NEO, loading of 24-bit PNG images
Hold Shift to force horizontal/vertical mouse movement. With line tool: also 45° and ISO angles.

Ps: if someone can help me deciding a more correct and coherent versioning for the ebuild it would be great.

cheers!

I also have to pay respect and admiration to this little nifty program and to you for delivering it :)
The ebuild is erroneous though, it expects lua to be present even with the lua use flag disabled.

Thanks, I've just updated the ebuild so that -lua will be considered, please let me know if it works correctly.
