I tried to boot my laptop (E500 series, LG) with the latest kernel from the Serialmonkey/rt2x00 git repository, but it seems to have broken something _VERY_ badly. Neither mouse nor keyboard works under any of my linux kernels or even my windows vista install. I can however ssh into my linux install (at least with the kernel I was running before this happened) and it seems to be running fine.

What should I do now? I'm at a total loss here. :(

Does a LiveCD work? Check your BIOS settings--short of actual hardware damage (unlikely) it's about the only cause I can imagine that cuts across all OSes. The beast may have written bad data into your BIOS configuration memory.

Kernel not recognizing your hardware? Problems with power management or PCMCIA? What hardware is compatible with Gentoo? See here. (Only for kernels supported by Gentoo.)
Not to seem unkind, but to a degree this is a case of, "you break it, you get to keep the pieces."

Moved from Kernel & Hardware to Unsupported Software.

LiveCD tested and not working, I only have input (from kb) in BIOS and grub. I went over the settings in BIOS, but the seemed ok, all 5 of them (seems like LG doesn't like me having control over their hw).

How can I restore the BIOS in case it was corrupted?

Try to load your BIOS default settings.
