Flash, java and vlc all work for me. Maybe you should add the xulrunner USE flag and see if that helps.
I have found one minor annoyance. The 'New Tab' button used to be on the far right side of the tab bar. Now it has moved left, adjacent to the farthest right tab. I poked around in Preferences and about:config, but couldn't find a way to move it back to the right.
Any ideas? _________________ Ask Questions the Smart Way - by ESR |

the "new tab" button is on the far right here too. i think the mozilla guys just changed that. |

Here I have two "new tab" buttons, one on the left in the bookmarks toolbar, and one is directly right to the last open tab, which is pretty cool.

Plugins are working fine. _________________ http://proaudio.tuxfamily.org/wiki - pro-audio software overlay

When building this from the mozilla overlay, I get this error. Any help appreciated.

|
|
Patches for pango-1.23 are available on the Mozilla Buzilla page here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=478871.
If someone can incorporate a patch into the ebuild, that will be great.
EDIT: Looks like just dropping the v1 patch into "files/1.9.1_beta3/" allowed xulrunner to compile fine. |

What i don't understand is that why doesn't this:
.tabs-alltabs-button { display: none; }
work in userChrome.css when the plugin does the same? :D
Edit: Nevermind, it must've been some issue with ff3 profile being on tmpfs. It's working now.
Also if you want to remove the right side dropdown arrow showing open tabs it can be done with:
.tabs-alltabs-button { display: none; }

All my problems (can not bookmark, can not save files) are fixed with firefox 3.1 beta 3. Thanks to its developers and the ebuild maintainers. The only thing left is; while updatedb is running, firefox become unresponsive. There was a thread solving it using tmpfs for firefox. I hope a better approach will come. _________________ Anyway it's all the same at the end...
Need help to get it working: "x-fi surround 5.1" |

I admittedly have little technical knowledge, but basically I think it is the 'backend' for firefox. Maybe for other Mozilla projects as well, but I don't know.
For example; before they broke it out as a separate package, firefox might take 40 minutes to build. Now, xulrunner takes about 30 and firefox only takes about ten. _________________ Ask Questions the Smart Way - by ESR |

emerge app-portage/layman if you do not already have it.
than run layman -a mozilla as root. that adds the mozilla overlay.
the mozilla overlay uses subversion, so you need that. set the subversion use-flag, at least for the layman package. |
