I don't know if this is even the appropriate forum, but has anyone tried debugging anything generated in mono for the 2.0 framework with mdb? I figured I'd just see if anyone here has any ideas - I have also posted on the mono forums. I created this in monodevelop, but ran the debugger from the command line.

using System;

namespace hello
   class MainClass
      public static void Main(string[] args)
         Console.WriteLine("Hello World!");

Pretty basic - I did this after I had the same problem with something more detailed to try and make sure it wasnt something I did wrong. After compiling the assembly in using monodevelop

dayd@dcday ~/projects/hello/bin/Debug $ mdb hello.exe
Mono Debugger
(mdb) run
Starting program: hello.exe
EXCEPTION: Mono.Debugger.TargetException: Unsupported `mono' executable: /usr/bin/mono

Anyway - if anyone has any ideas - I'm all ears. Using mono 2.2 and mono-debugger 2.2, with latest monodevelop. Thanks!
