Correct me if I'm wrong DIeter@be. |
well, the only gtk that uzbl does directly is the statusbar.
Most of all, the interface towards webkit depends on which webkit implementation you use. webkitgtk+ is based on Glib. It seems like the QT version isn't (http://trac.webkit.org/wiki/BuildingQtOnLinux). Probably the efl/fltk/wxwidgets versions have a different (more lightweight?) api also. _________________ Nothing beats a ride on the Gentoo learning curve.

I try to use this one too. I really like main idea, but already on second day bumped into serious problem:
Download of gmail attachments do not work.
How it can be fixed or I just have to wait for newer version? _________________ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jtmOZaIvS0 |

New tagged version 2009.12.22 is now in tree.
Also, after talking with Dieter@be I changed the ebuild versioning:
[I] www-client/uzbl
Available versions: (~)2009.12.22{tbz2} **9999{tbz2} {+browser experimental helpers +tabbed}

Working nicely here. I miss adblock/flashblock/noscript from FF, though. Anyone out there got working alternatives for that? I saw the adblock script, but it's missing a decent list of elements. Not sure about the other two. |

I'm a vim fan myself, so I don't have any emacs bindings, but I heard of a port of uzbl called ezbl that runs within emacs. I'm not sure whether the developer is still working on it, but it looked pretty interesting. _________________ 2.6.34-rc3 on x86_64 w/ paludis

Ezbl isn't a config for uzbl. It's a patch and a extension for emacs. I'm going to try install it. Thanks. _________________ Algún día habrá una persona mejor que yo, pero esa persona no eres tú ni ese momento es ahora. |
