Hi guys

I need to type some SC under English-environment Gentoo.
But when I use "emerge -av ibus"

it got such error message:

* Messages for package app-i18n/ibus-1.1.0.20090508:

*
* ERROR: app-i18n/ibus-1.1.0.20090508 failed.
* Call stack:
* ebuild.sh, line 48: Called src_compile
* environment, line 2860: Called econf '--disable-gtk-doc' '--enable-nls'
* ebuild.sh, line 525: Called die
* The specific snippet of code:
* die "econf failed"
* The die message:
* econf failed
*
* If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if relevant.
* A complete build log is located at '/var/tmp/portage/app-i18n/ibus-1.1.0.20090508/temp/build.log'.
* The ebuild environment file is located at '/var/tmp/portage/app-i18n/ibus-1.1.0.20090508/temp/environment'.
*

Can anybody help me solving that problem ? I will be appreciated.

configure: error: Your intltool is too old. You need intltool 0.40.0 or later.

so try upgrading intltool package. perhaps that will fix your problem.

Thank you for your advice.I have upgraded initItool to latest version.

But it still stucks at compling.

This is the new emerge-log.

Just got some tips from google then the problem is fixed.

I had upgraded libtool from 1.5.x to 2.2. Ibus was installed smoothly.

BTW, I heard that some packages dosen't work well with libtools version 2.x. :cry:
