Hello, now NVU is dead and being removed what will replace?

Now i am not talking about bluefish or Quanta but a direct replacement, komposer was supposed to be the successor but this also seems to be dead, then there is BlueGriffon which is being coded by the person who started NVU. Thing is nether of these are in portage?

cheers

Not sure KompoZer has a future whereas BlueGriffon has proven coder behind and seems more active!

Not gentoo?

Umm NVU is a Official gentoo app that is about to be removed with not apparent replacement and so i believe is to do with Gentoo!

If it was dead and had no direct replacement then i could understand but there are two candidates for a direct replacement.

KompoZer is a wysiwyg HTML editor (Nvu/Composer fork) aimed towards advanced users. I consider it as an unofficial bug-fix release for Nvu.

As is bluegriffon but is run by fellow who was main coder for NVU, though komposer seems more active.

I need to try out kompozer or bluegriffin. I really liked nvu, but the codebase sadly became outdated.

neither bluegriffon no kompozer are in the tree. Am I missing something?

Just checked the BlueGriffon website and there are bug updates up till 04 Jan 11. Seems then like it is a currently maintained project. Would be very nice to have it available from Portage as I can't see their is any alternative there already. 8)

I agree. Same for current testing debian. Very inconvenient ! (my family prepare pages that i publish)
I'm going to use a blog type solution or make an ebuild.
by the way, i may have motivation to code it but not enough to support it. Someone feeling "GPLy" ?

I know web is not this static nowadays but for those who are stuck like me, there is seamonkey...
