i'm having trouble compiling mozilla-firefox on my new machine. it's a fresh gentoo installation and i ran out of ideas, so maybe someone can find something wrong. the build fails with this:

so the problem seems to be, that some headerfiles are not found. as they belong to the package downloaded, they are all there under mozilla-1.9.1/xpcom/glue/ so i don't know why they are not found.

Post a bug report at https://bugs.gentoo.org/ and include the full emerge log and output of emerge --info.
In the meantime you can try masking the specific version of the package by:
Code:
 echo "=www-client/mozilla-firefox-3.5-r3" >> /etc/portage/package.mask

In fact, you really need to open a bugzilla for that, because this one is not documented.

i just tried emerging mozilla-firefox-3.0.11 and it dies with the same error, so there seems to be something wrong with my environment :?
i have no idea where to search. i even tried an "emerge -e world" with no luck :(
i think, this is not really a bug in mozilla-firefox but in my installation...

I was having the same problem, and checked my /etc/portage/package.keywords and saw I had added xulrunner for some package that needed a newer version a while back.

I commented that out, so it dropped back to xulrunner version 1.9.0.11-r1 and mozilla compiled and runs fine!

HTH!
