I just installed VMware-Workstation and something is very odd about its --verbose compilant

make[1]: warning: jobserver unavailable: using -j1. Add `+' to parent make rule

Output

Code:
allein allein # emerge vmware-workstation

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!

hi,

i don't think it will affect vmware itself, since it's only issued as a warning, therefore shouldn't be much of a problem.

the problem itself could caused by distcc. i asked google and i found this. according to the distcc faq, there seems to be an issue with your environment, that the messages in the compile queue get lost.

hope it helps!

alex
