Hi,

i just wanted to give einit a try so i emerged it and added REAL_INIT=/sbin/einit (as i'm booting on a root raid0 partition) to the kernel line. As i just wanted to give it a quick try i didn't edited none configuration file but einit gets stopped after mounting system partitions. I just wanted to know if to be able to get the tty prompt do i need to edit any configuration file? or should einit get me to the tty prompt without editing nothing (obviusly some services will not be started, but as said, i just want to give a quick try)?

Thanks in advanced :)

einit is not developed further but superseded by Kyuba, that's another reason why it is hard-masked (apart from security problems). See the homepage to for overlay information to try out Kyuba.
