I have gentoo running on a PS3. I have tried both the graphical petitboot and the petitboot from kernel.org (text-only). Both of them are able to scroll through available configurations and select one to boot, but NEITHER is honoring the timeout= setting in kboot.conf. It will not boot the default configuration without user interaction. Any suggestions?

I'm trying to set it up so that it will boot, auto-login to X and load MMS (My Media System) directly with no extraneous interaction needed. On bootup it will also run ps3-boot-game-os --no-reboot such that as soon as you exit the menu system or if you cut the power at any point, it will know to reboot back to PS3 automatically.

ps3-bl-option should teach petitboot to boot automatically.
