I've written a little Python script to help me manage videos from my Canon Powershot A40 digital camera. With a little modification, it will work well with other cameras too.

Raw from the camera, videos are pretty huge in size, and are often on their side. With a little work, this script helps me out :) It goes through videos downloaded off my camera (in the current working directory) and re-encodes them to divx mp3lame AVIs. Rename movies to *.AVI_R to have them rotated.

Get it from here (canon-vid):

Kick ass, I just ordered a Cannon A-60 last night :) This'll come in handy, thanks!
