I found a bug emerging net-libs/xulrunner but I'm not sure where to report it. I'm not sure if it's binutils, gcc or xulrunner. Anyways, when the merge fails it displays this.

It kind of looks like a binutils bug. Perhaps I need to re-emerge binutils.

yes, pls. open a bug about this and let the devs decide. Internal errors could also mean you have hardware problems ( ram f.ex.) apart from a broken toolchain.

Anyways, can we have a look to your make.conf ? I´m asking because i see -Os in your output, maybe that is somehow realted.

cheers

Filed a bug report: net-libs/xulrunner-1.9.1.4 failed with Binutils internal error

I hope it's coherent.

EDIT: It's been changed to sys-devel/binutils-2.18-r3 on ppc64: "ld: internal error" while compiling net-libs/xulrunner-1.9.1.4
