A couple of days ago, while browsing with chromium 5.0.336.0 (39582), I hit F11 and entered its fullscreen mode.

I couldn't escape it ever since. ctrl+shift+f doesn't work, ESC doesn't work, F11 doesn't either, and chromium enters fullscreen mode on startup.

Is there a config file I could change to revert it back to its original behaviour?

Thanks for help, this is driving me nuts (and btw: firefox feels really slow by comparison!)

strange
for me f11 works both way
chromium config is in ~/.config/chromium/
and yeap, chromium is much faster than firefox in my eyes too :)

F11 really should take you out of fullscreen mode. Perhaps your function key stuck? Have you tried pressing ctrl+w a few times to kill the window?

Did you accidentally trigger the window manager's fullscreen instead? Try Alt+F11/F10.

Hi,

I am on fluxbox and ALT+F11 takes me to the fourth desktop, no effect on chromium...

I tried deleting the .config/chromium folder, no effect, I completely unmerged chromium and reemerged it and it still appears in fullscreen mode, F11, shitft+alt+f, esc don't show effect whatsoever.

Any more ideas? I googled and found that it might be a bug of the linux versions but I can't figure out which ones (or how to emerge a specific version...)

Have you tried emerging chromium-bin? The latest in portage is 5.0.308.0_p37385, which appears to be a bit earlier than your build. Maybe it will make the difference. I have it installed on my machine, and I can verify that it allows me to enter/escape fullscreen mode by pressing F11.
