I'm trying to breath some life into GLIS (glis.sourceforge.net) which hasn't been updated since 2004.
The script wants to source /sbin/functions.sh, which doesn't exist. I'm guessing it's been moved in the past 6 years, and find / | grep functions.sh doesn't help me.
Can anyone give me an idea where to find it?

I still have /sbin/functions.sh on my machine, and it appears to be part of baselayout-1. I'm assuming based on your post that you have migrated to baselayout-2.

Do you have the file /etc/init.d/functions.sh on your system? That is still part of baselayout-1 for me, but since I've noticed other scripts like udev ending up in init.d for baselayout-2.

On baselayout 2 it belongs to openrc:
Code:
sed-notebook sed # equery b functions.sh
[ Searching for file(s) functions.sh in *... ]
sys-apps/openrc-0.6.0-r1 (/etc/init.d/functions.sh -> /lib64/rc/sh/functions.sh)
sys-apps/openrc-0.6.0-r1 (/lib64/rc/sh/functions.sh)

I do have /etc/init.d/functions.sh
The comments in the script said that ebegin and eend would be defined in functions.sh, which I couldn't see in that file, but there's something about ebegin and stub function at the end, so maybe it is the correct file.
Thanks :)
