I've used layman to install the MySQL overlay, when I run emerge I get this:
Code:
 emerge -auvD world

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies \ * Digest verification failed:
 * /usr/local/portage/layman/mysql/dev-db/mysql/mysql-5.5.1_alpha_pre2-r1.ebuild
 * Reason: Filesize does not match recorded size
 * Got: 6981
 * Expected: 6979
 * Digest verification failed:
 * /usr/local/portage/layman/mysql/dev-db/mysql/mysql-5.1.45-r2.ebuild
 * Reason: Filesize does not match recorded size
 * Got: 7369
 * Expected: 7367
 * Digest verification failed:
 * /usr/local/portage/layman/mysql/dev-db/mysql/mysql-5.1.44-r4.ebuild
 * Reason: Filesize does not match recorded size
 * Got: 7369
 * Expected: 7367
 * Digest verification failed:
 * /usr/local/portage/layman/mysql/dev-db/mysql/mysql-5.0.90-r3.ebuild
 * Reason: Filesize does not match recorded size
 * Got: 6219
 * Expected: 6217
... done!

I used layman to delete the overlay and reinstall it, same result.

Suggestions?

Go to /usr/local/portage/layman/mysql/dev-db/mysql, rm the file "Manifest" and do "ebuild mysql-5.5.1_alpha_pre2-r1.ebuild digest". Then try the emerge again.

:D

Yep. It just needed a fresh MD5 digest in Manifest. I face this problem frequently with other overlays.
