Hi,

i installed Sabayon from CoreCD and got everything working except PulseAudio, also installed synaptics driver.
Finally i got PulseAudio working but mouse starts working in a weird manner.

Gdm starts and display the login window. Left and right mouse buttons, and tap as well, don't work at all. If i login, then alt+f1 to the first console, login as root and killing X, gdm restarts and i finally get rigth button and tap working but still no left button... and a spontaneous question arises, WHY?!?!??!?!?!?

I've tried many things:
- deleting synaptics driver (fdi from /etc/hal/fdi/policy) and using "mouse" driver in xorg.conf
- deleting InputDevice "Mouse" confing in xorg.conf, as stated in the synaptics configuration for newer Xorg server
- getting fresh synaptics driver and trying with both xorg.conf InputDevice "Mouse" and fdi configuration

...and still no luck.

It's worth noting that without fdi driver xorg seems to still using it, because two fingers tap still works without fdi.

If i try to use synclient it says "incorrect size of shared memory area. incompatible driver version".

Any suggestion?

Marco

Moved from Kernel & Hardware to Unsupported Software.

Sabayon is not Gentoo
