When emerging dev-java/ibm-jdk-bin I get the following message at the end:

Code:
 * No system nsplugin currently set.
 * Setting nsplugin to ibm-jdk-bin-1.6...
!!! Error: Expected "//usr/share/java-config-2/nsplugin/ibm-jdk-bin-1.6-javaplugin.so" to exist, but it doesn't.
!!! Error: Perhaps "ibm-jdk-bin-1.6" isn't a valid name of VM built with nsplugin?
 * You can change nsplugin with eselect java-nsplugin.

Running eselect proves the missing plugin:
Code:
G5DC ~ # eselect java-nsplugin list
Available Java browser plugins

Is this how it's supposed to be or is there something wrong with my installation?
My profile is default/linux/powerpc/ppc64/10.0/64bit-userland/desktop/kde and I currently use dev-java/ibm-jdk-bin-1.6.0.8 (~ppc64):
Code:
G5DC ~ # emerge -pv dev-java/ibm-jdk-bin

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild   Rf  ] dev-java/ibm-jdk-bin-1.6.0.8  USE="X javacomm nsplugin (-alsa) -doc -examples -odbc" 0 kB

Total: 1 package (1 reinstall), Size of downloads: 0 kB
Fetch Restriction: 1 package

Thanks,
A.

So there is no java browser plugin for ppc64? Interesting, this should be mentioned by portage when emerging ibm-jdk-bin on ppc64, shouldn't it? Or the nsplugin USE flag should be masked on ppc64, since it doesn't exist anyway, right?

Thanks, A.

i'm sorry but some time ago I moved to a different distro (still source based).
Anyway i've a working jdk environment (.6b20) with a working mozilla plugin too. Thus java on ppc64 is possible.
