Hi,

I am trying to get ihu working again after it being broken by qt3 disappearing. It seems that kde-sunset is the easiest solution but I'm still getting problems.

I did layman -i kde-sunset and it seems OK.

I already have net-im/ihu from the VOIP overaly (that used to work fine).

However, when I add qt3 to the inherit line of the ebuild I get a warning when I try to remake the digest.
Code:
#ebuild *ld digest
 * Please fix your ebuild to not inherit the deprecated qt3.eclass
>>> Creating Manifest for /usr/portage/local/layman/voip/net-im/ihu

a) I thought sunset provided a new qt3.eclass
b) when I try to emerge ihu it fails looking for the qt libs as before. It seems adding sunset has not given it the correct deps. It seems that sunset has added nothing.

I'm obviously not doing this right, suggestions please.

TIA, Gentree. 8)

Probably a stupid question, but you did add the overlay, right? (the -i option is just for info...)
Code:
layman -a kde-sunset

Thanks, I found a better solution. There was a static linked version of ihu on the sourceforge download page and that works without messing around.

kde-sunset may be a bit OTT just for one small program.

Thanks for your help.
