After the disk with my /usr-partition died i had to
Code:
emerge -e world
(this command is the very shortened version  ). Everything went quite well except that i cannot emerge any mozilla-progs anymore (and some others): xulrunner, firefox-[4|5], thunderbird. emerge dies at the same place of all of them:
(this is xulrunner with python-2.6)
Code:
/usr/bin/python2.6 ../../config/buildlist.py ../../dist/bin/chrome.manifest "manifest components/nsDefaultCLH.manifest"
make[4]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/net-libs/xulrunner-2.0.1-r1/work/mozilla-2.0/toolkit/components'
make[3]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/net-libs/xulrunner-2.0.1-r1/work/mozilla-2.0/toolkit'
make[2]: *** [libs_tier_platform] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/net-libs/xulrunner-2.0.1-r1/work/mozilla-2.0'
make[1]: *** [tier_platform] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/net-libs/xulrunner-2.0.1-r1/work/mozilla-2.0'
make: *** [default] Error 2
emake failed

i tried with python 2.6 and 2.7, i recompiled glibc, gcc, libtool and binutils, i ran python-updater and revdep-rebuild, i even ran lafilefixer. i used /var/tmp/portage on disk and tmpfs - emerge always produces the same error.

Do you have any ideas what might be wrong here?
Here's my emerge --info

The actual error is probably a bit further up, most likely it's curl-related as per bug 375899.

thx for the reply.
gimp with the curl-useflag is also affected by this bug, but the buildlog was a little more explicit so i emerged it w/out the curl-useflag.

SOLUTION:
it is indeed related to this bug 375899. the ebuild is not fixed yet so i downgraded to net-misc/curl-7.21.6 and now all the pkgs compile.
