Initial release of the Core2 optimized stage3 for Gentoo Linux.

Project: awalp's custom stage1/3&4s for Gentoo Linux.
I will releasing snapshot style stage files, optimized for various platforms.
-- So far two Corei7 snapshots have been released.
-- New! Initial Core2 snapshot is now released!

Where to get it: http://gentoo.awalp.net

Initial Core2 stage3 file.... built with and including GCC 4.5 and upstream toolchain.
-- Perfect for a fresh stage3 install on a Core2 platform, future proof, as GCC 4.5 should be marked stable any day.

http://gentoo.awalp.net/pub/awalp_releases/amd64/core2_current_stage3/

I will maintain this GCC 4.5, Core2 optimized build with snapshot style releases as changes occur in @stable.

This release follows my initial project release of Corei7 optimized stage3 builds, posted 1.5 days ago.
(updated snapshot of the initial Corei7 as expected FYI)

-----------------------
On a side note.....

I will also be releasing optimized and generic x86_64 "stage4" Gnome 3 builds.
-- Allowing a fresh install w/ Gnome 3. (again until it reaches gentoo-current)

Lastly, I'll be releasing an SSD optimized installation environment. (until gentoo-current fulfills the need)

Any request for specific architecture builds, features, etc, let me know.

Feedback greatly appreciated. If anything I release helps you, please let me know you had no problems!

Any suggestion as to the best way and place to make this known, let me know.
This is entirely done for the convenience of gentoo users, both new and old!

Nice! So far I always used the latest funtoo (arch/~arch) stage for a new Core2 setup (to instantly move back to regular Portage).

I am especially interested in your ideas about an SSD environment.
