Hello, trying to install vnware workstation 7.1.4, but can't seem to get passed fetch restrictions?

I downloaded the file and put it in distfiles. but it gives restrictions error.

Code:

>> Emerging (1 of 2) app-emulation/vmware-workstation-7.1.4.385536
 * Fetching files in the background. To view fetch progress, run
 * `tail -f /var/log/emerge-fetch.log` in another terminal.

!!! app-emulation/vmware-workstation-7.1.4.385536 has fetch restriction turned on.
!!! This probably means that this ebuild's files must be downloaded
!!! manually.  See the comments in the ebuild for more information.

 * Fetch failed for 'app-emulation/vmware-workstation-7.1.4.385536', Log file:
 *  '/var/log/portage/app-emulation:vmware-workstation-7.1.4.385536:20110912-114738.log'
 * Please download VMware-Workstation-7.1.4-385536.x86_64.bundle
 * from http://www.vmware.com/products/workstation/
 * and place it in /usr/portage/distfiles

>>> Failed to emerge app-emulation/vmware-workstation-7.1.4.385536, Log file:

I tried renaming the file.
Code:

mv /usr/portage/distfiles/VMware-Workstation-Full-7.1.4-385536.x86_64.bundle /usr/portage/distfiles/VMware-Workstation-7.1.4.385536.x86_64.bundle

any ideas?

cheers

My guess is that your file checksum is wrong. Look at the file /var/log/emerge-fetch.log to see if it tells you something about this. If this turns out to be true check if the file you downloaded is ok. I guess vmware provides some md5 checksums you could use to check the integrity of the file. If the file is ok then maybe the Manifest data is wrong. You could recreate it by running:

Code:
ebuild vmware-workstation-7.1.4.385536.ebuild digest

inside the /usr/portage/app-emulation/vmware-workstation directory.
