Hi all,
I am trying to use MSC Marc (FEM software) on my gentoo box with gnome-shell, but when I run program on gnome-shell the window is quite transparent so it can't be use (the program works), if I run it on gnome-fallback mode the window is normal so I can use it, I think that the problem is compositing of the shell, so is there a way to disable compositing for a specific window?

Thanks

Try pre-prepending XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 before the command to run marc.
