Hi.

Is there someone who knows, until when will be MySQL 5.5 masked in Gentoo packages? Or why is MySQL 5.5 hard-masked too long?

We are a company dedicated to web-development and some features from MySQL 5.5 is really important for us, but in Gentoo packages is MySQL 5.5 hard-masked a lot of months. We prefer "emerged" MySQL instead of other kinds of installations.

On most of our servers we are using Gentoo with kernel 3.2.1 and last gentoo-stable MySQL 5.1.61.

Do you have some experience with unmasked MySQL 5.5 for production use? Some tips?

Thank you!
