Hey Guys,

You all have been great. I Can't wait until I'm at that level...

But now I have another issue. After installing Stage3* and configuring the Kernel on, first attempt ( MANUAL ), on Second Attempt --( gen-kenerl )
using SystemTools ( Cron Daemon ), and choosing CRON as system logger
and GRUB as my BootLoader--- I get a Blank screen after rebooting...

I suspect is my booter but I'm not sure... I typed my specs in nano ( i.e. # nano -w /boot/grub/grub.conf ) following the sites recommendations,
and also, tried LILO but no luck..

Meaning you never got the grub menu? What state is your machine in now? Does it have Grub or Lilo?

Define what you mean by the grub state.

I'm assuming the machine posted so did you see the grub menu at all before the screen went black?

We need to ascertain how far into the boot process you got.

Thats just it... It didn't boot at all...

after rebooting from the command line.... I ejected the CD...
My mac chimed and that was it...

this is my grun.conf text file I used.. If it helps

# Which listing to boot as default. 0 is the first, 1 the second etc.
default 0
# How many seconds to wait before the default listing is booted.
timeout 30
# Nice, fat splash-image to spice things up :)
# Comment out if you don't have a graphics card installed
splashimage=(hd0,0)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz

I have to start over guys...

I just made a great BooBOo...

I deleted my /dev/sda1.
Now I need start from scratch considering it won't allow me to create a boot drive :(

But before I go off and start this again...
While I was practicing my linux.. I came across
6 users logged in.. as root...

when I typed in # users
I got back

root root root root root root
#
Is this right? Did I do something during my original installation that might have caused this...?

Thanks again...
