What am I supposed to do about udev and how it renames my network devices?

E.g. it renames my eth0 to enp5s12. I tried to edit the net file and change config_eth0="dhcp" to config_enp5s12="dhcp" but this didn't work. Running simply dhcpcd from the terminal works fine though.

Code:
touch /etc/udev/rules.d/80-net-name-slot.rules
will tell udev to leave the kernel assigned names alone restoring eth0 and wlan0
sounds like you did not remake the symlink: as in
Code:
cd /etc/init.d
ln -s net.lo net.enp5s12

I just disable this feature with net.ifnames=0 to kernel cmd line. (linux /boot/3.10.0-gentoo net.ifnames=0 to grub.cfg)

Yeah, I ended up doing that, thanks though, I just hope that name will stay like that, and not change.
