AMD 64bit, Kernel 3.8 works fine with UEFI boot by refind boot manager. Kernel 3.10-r1 hangs :( No boot screen at all. I know about the rootfstype parameter advice, but my rootfs is jfs (not ext3-4), and boot partition is ext2. Advice needed, I have 2 questions about the situation:

1. Which kernel compression mode should be set - gzip or bzip2? I set bzip2, because from previous millenium was always typing "make bzImage" :) Maybe, I am wrong, but no such parameter was visible in menuconfig.
2. What was changed in creating initrd by genkernel? By the way, point me to RTFM | URL, where to read.

Currently, I have 2 sections in refind config, exactly copy-pasted with only 2 differences - bzImage.old with initrd.old is booting (3.8 ) , bzImage with initrd.img hangs (3.10. r1) :( Help needed.

Added later - solved after kernel 3.10.17. What it was, no mind, but something was exactly fixed
