Hi, I am setting up alsa for my audio controller (I am following Gentoo wiki of course). Although, I don't know if I can proceed compiling downladed source tarballs from alsa-project, because my installation already includes something concerning alsa (can I encounter confilct problems?). Also, while compiling alsa-driver I get this error:

Code:
install: cannot stat 'include/sound/*.h': No such file or directory
make: *** [install-headers] Error 1

--
Code:
lspci | grep -i audio
00:01.1 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Trinity HDMI Audio Controller
00:14.2 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] FCH Azalia Controller (rev 01)

I am following: http://www.alsa-project.org/main/index.php/Matrix:Module-interwave

Thanks :)

Is this a Gentoo package? If so, can you please file a bug at https://bugs.gentoo.org/? They can solve the bug for you such that you can compile it after syncing after the resolution of the bug.

Thanks for the reply, TomWij. The solution was editing .asoundrc by adding defaults.pcm.!card 1.
