Hi, I've installed Gentoo using my main distro (Slackware) as host. But when I tried to boot on Gentoo it loads fine, uncompress the kernel file, loads all the modules and after some point at OpenRC (couldn't see well cause the screen turned black) it failed. I've compiled the kernel gentoo-sources using genkernel, because I wanted to do it fast and I have an ATI 6670 video card. Any ideas? Thanks.

From the chroot
Code:
ls /lib/firmware/radeon/TURKS*
needs to return
Quote:
/lib/firmware/radeon/TURKS_mc.bin /lib/firmware/radeon/TURKS_pfp.bin
/lib/firmware/radeon/TURKS_me.bin /lib/firmware/radeon/TURKS_smc.bin
and
Code:
ls /lib/firmware/LICENSE.radeon
needs to return
Quote:
/lib/firmware/LICENSE.radeon
If not, you need to emerge either linux-firmware or radeon-ucode .If you will be using the radeon open source driver, see https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Radeon; if you will be using the fglrx closed source driver, see https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Fglrx .
