I have an univeral USB end of world version. I run mount.cifs after I booted from the USB, and the mount.cifs worked okay. However, I installed the gentoo from USB, and let the hard disk boot, I don't get mount.cifs works.
I got this error every time I tried "mount.cifs" or "mount -cifs" commands
[quote]mount error(22): Invalid argument
Refer to the mount.cifs( manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)
I type the command in the following way:
|mount.cifs //Server IP/Data /mnt/Apple -o user=myusername,domain=workgroup,password=mypassword |
I even tried the options with ntlm, ntlmv2, or lanman, but no luck.
I have make sure that I have fuse and cifs-utils installed, and get cifs supported in kernel.
I tried "smbclient" command to log on my Apple time capsule, and it works successfully.
However, I got nothing when I typed:
I just frustrated with what's going on with cifs, I want the smbmount back.
