Greetings;
I have a problem booting current minimal_install ISO image which I copied on my flash usb drive with
Code:
#dd if=<image> of=<target drive>

It just hangs on the part before choosing kernel, without any error messages (black screen, with string like "Isolinux 4.xx ... Peter Anvin...").
Same usb drive is tested and works on my desktop but it doesn't on my target machine Asus eeepc X101CH with intel Atom N2600 CPU (I'm not using UEFI), which already has an working instalation of Archlinux i686.
Thanks in advance.

Asmir,

Welcome to Gentoo.

To install from a USB stick, use System Rescue CD. Follow its instructions for installing to a aUSB key.
Its Gentoo based and you just follow the handbook.

those that do backups
those that have never had a hard drive fail.
