Hello everyone,

the setup I use has 3 Monitors (1 TV at VGA1, 1 notebook-screen at LVDS1, one "normal" screen HMDI1). My problem is that the integrated intel graphic chip supports only 2 monitor at the same time. (2 monitor at the same time is actually sufficient for my needs, but I have to change during normal operation which 2 of the 3 I want to use.)

Because I never use the "normal" monitor on HMDI1 and the TV on VGA1 together I disabled the TV in the kernel line by adding "video=VGA-1:d". On the other hand it is possible to disable the HDMI1 by adding "video=HDMI-A-1:d", if I do not use the HDMI-monitor.

But this solution is not sufficient for me. I will change
Code:
cat /sys/class/drm/card-VGA-1/enabled
enabled

to
Code:
cat /sys/class/drm/card-VGA-1/enabled
disabled

and vice versa during normal operation and not only during boot.

Any idea how to do that?

I hope that there is a way to do so, because if I plug in a monitor during normal operation it will be configured by udev and /sys/class/drm/card-VGA-1/enabled changes from "disabled" to "enabled".

Best regards
GOS
