Hello,

I always used bluez and this documentation http://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Bluetooth to attach my bluetooth mouse. The simple agent command can help you attaching automatically the device at boot. But this documentation is deprecated and only works for bluez 4 while gentoo now provides bluez 5.

I successfully managed to get my mouse working using bluetoothctl and its trust, connect functions. But I need to type connect again each time I reboot which is annoying.

Can you tell me how can I enable my bluetooth mouse automatically using bluez 5 ?

PS: by the way, I added bluetooth init script to default runlevel, it starts but I also need to do hciconfig hci0 up (or call bluetoothctl) to make the device running.

Thanks.

Hi Markand,

I'm not sure I understand correctly - does your mouse work after putting the hci0 interface up, or do you still need to connect via bluetoothctl? If the former, try this (the same as my answer in another thread):

Quote:
From archlinuxs wiki, put the following in /etc/udev/rules.d/10-local.rules:
Code:
# Set bluetooth power up
ACTION=="add", KERNEL=="hci0", RUN+="/usr/bin/hciconfig hci0 up"

Hope it helps!
