Hi,
it is not a precedent from Unetbootin. It present the ISO9660 image as an USB mass storage, but the boot process of the key search for a CD/DVD device. It can't find it's internal files because there's nothing related on it. It may be possible to change the bootloader configuration in the key, but I have'nt do it.

Just note that an isohybrid image file do not need Unetbootin. It can be copy bit by bit directly to the USB key and the key will be bootable has a disk like Unetbootin does, but it will not hang has Unetbootin.

To verify if an ISO9600 image is hybrid, just do
Code:
fdisk -l the-iso9600-image-file

If Fdisk show a partition table, the image is hybrid an ready to be copy on the USB key:
Code:
dd if=the-iso9600-image-file of /dev/sdx

Replace x with the letter of the USB key. If the ISO9660 image have no partition table, you can create one easily in the image file with
Code:
isohybrid the-iso9660-image-file

With non hybride Linux ISO9660 images it work. The isohybrid command is part of the syslinux package.

You may need root privilege.

Unfortunately, it doesnt' resolve my problem.

I got same error after isohybrid iso images and manual copied dd=image.iso if=/dev/sdb

Boot process still cant find media on my usb, moreover my keyboard not working during booting process.

Any other solution :?:

nox3r,

Start with System Rescue CD. Its Gentoo based and you can just follow the handbook.
It is provided with a script to install it to a USB key. You can do that by loop mounting the downloaded ISO.
