Hi all - I have a lenovo thinkpad T440s; when I run sensors I
get this output:

Code:
acpitz-virtual-0
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1:        +38.0°C  (crit = +200.0°C)

coretemp-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
Physical id 0:  +38.0°C  (high = +100.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 0:         +36.0°C  (high = +100.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 1:         +35.0°C  (high = +100.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)

thinkpad-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
fan1:           0 RPM

I am wondering what Physical id 0 is registering (consistently the highest temp) and
what Adapter: Virtual Device means?

thinkwiki is not very clear about this ... maybe nobody knows

Usually the virtual is reading a chunk of data from acpi, which does the actual readings and make an adjustment. So it's not a "real" sensor but uses real sensor data (usually).

Physical0 probably refers to the same data read from the virtual, or perhaps it's an external temperature sensor. The other two readings are the on-die sensors which likely reads different from the external.

I don't think a few degrees is anything to worry about.
