Wow, and how!

I spent most of today attempting to untie a mass of corrupted .pyc files in python on my main 64 bit system. It was very, very, very intense. I learned some interesting things about python, and held myself back from destroying a hard drive so badly corrupted, it wouldn't finish a boot cycle. I had a feeling that there might be an issue here, since one machine was having no issues with ebuild corruption, and the other two running 3.16.0 were.

I'm really relieved that I don't have to buy another hard drive. I'm also glad I swapped in a slightly smaller yet faster drive thinking it was a hardware issue. Now that I know what's up, I'm going to completely recompile everything under 3.15.2, and use the big drive as an external back-up system.

Cheers,
Pappy
