Hi there.
I have recently rebooted my gentoo after some
Code:
emerge --update @world
and one of my disks is not anymore detected during system startup:
Quote:
* Mounting local filesystems...
mount: can't find LABEL=DATA
* Some local filesystem failed to mount [ !! ]

Also, I can't mount partitions of this disk via mount command and switching from LABEL to device path:
Code:
$ mount /data
ntfs-3g: Failed to access volume '/dev/sdb2': No such file or directory

Code:
$ ls /dev/sdb*
/dev/sdb

However:
Code:
$ fdisk -l /dev/sdb

correctly shows both disk partitions.

Moreover, opening gparted, which scans all partitions from all disks on my computer, suddenly effects with mounting availability. In other words - first I run gparted, then I close it and then I am able to see partitions in /dev/ directory and mount them without any problem, using LABEL or device path.

Why? :)
