I too wrote a small C program to run processes with elevated priority.
Features:
- works for normal users (SUID root)
- there is an absolute high limit for priority
- relative priority can be given as an argument
- log use of elevated priority to syslog

This should be quite a secure program but as I'm not used to write secure programs, I'd appreciate questions and comments about security related stuff.
